Our recent Book Week this year took its inspiration from the book “Grandad’s Secret Giant” by David Litchfield. Each class spent the week exploring the story and responding to the themes in their writing. It gave us the opportunity to talk about differences and friendship, as well as exploring how to cope when you are scared of something. The children were excited to consider what they might look like if they were a giant and how they might behave! At the end of the week we dressed as our favourite book characters. We ran a very successful book fair all week.
