Following the Government guidance to reopen schools, The Alliance Multi Academy Trust (TAMAT) schools are now open to a wide number of children including the vulnerable and those of critical workers.
To make this possible, a thorough risk assessment has been carried out by each school’s Headteacher and Health & Safety Governor – both of whom are familiar with their unique settings. The process, risk assessment and plans to open have been quality assured by TAMAT Compliance Officer, CEO and overseen by TAMAT Health & Safety Trustee. Each risk assessment identifies the risks and measures being taken, which help to inform each school’s unique plan for operating safely. This process informs decision making on which children will be accepted and when, and the patterns of provision each school can offer, whilst ensuring the safety of children and staff.
Each school has been in contact with parents/carers directly about their arrangements and further information can be found on individual school websites. Risk assessments are ‘live’ working documents which are reviewed and updated as necessary. Individual school risk assessments, may be accessed by contacting schools directly and asking to see the latest version.
We are aware that families will be concerned about the safety of sending their children back to school and the potential impact on their wider families. The safety and well-being of all our children and staff are our highest priority and we will only reopen schools to more children when we believe it is safe to do so. We will continue to be guided by the latest Government, Public Health England and scientific advice.
